Stanley Lamont Yarborough, 75, loving husband of Carolyn Lancaster Yarborough, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, March 28, 2025, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born June 11, 1949, in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late John Haden Yarborough and Carrie Ruth Gwinn Yarborough. Stanley served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in the 1st Calvary Division. He was a member of Bethel Masonic Lodge #112, Hejaz Shrine where he served as the Past President of the Woodruff Shrine Club. He was a former employee of Reeves Brothers (Mills Mill) and later retired from the Woodruff-Roebuck Water District. He was a member of Selma Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Richard Lamont Yarborough (Kelli) and children, Jesse (Isaac) and David,  Jody Kyle Yarborough (Lorie) and children, Kyle (Emma) and Jace (Emily); sister, Marcelle Davis (Bobby) and children, Gary, Mark, Kirby and Lee Davis; brother Terry Yarborough and child, Heather Honeycutt (Chris) and their son, Nelson; nieces, Lynne McAbee, Kim Pritchett and children, Cherry Lynne (Jo) and Tanner Pritchett and his best friend, his dog Grover.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Bonita Yarborough Cherry (Bud); brother, Gerald Yarborough; nephew, Rick Cherry and sister-in-law, Barbara Nelson Yarborough.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Selma Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the church with Rev. Darin Smith, Rev. John F. Huckaby and Rev. Fred Quidley officiating. Interment with Masonic Rites and Military Honors will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

Family members are at the home of his son Richard.
