“Sue” “Momma D.” “Nana"

CAMPOBELLO- Susan Ann Spence Dill, 71, of 750 Old Mill Road, left her physical body on December 20, 2022, to go dance to her own tune in Heaven.  She was a purveyor of fun, a breaker of rules, and above all else, a giver of endless love.  She was born July 5, 1951, in Fort Smith, Virginia to the late George Guy and Ann Higgins Spence. 

  She was the most loving and caring and compassionate wife to her husband of 50 years, John Ludwig Dill. A constant source of love and inspiration for her kids, Tiffany Dill and Michael Dill as well as their spouses, Chanta Peake, and Sarah Dill.  A wonderful supportive sister to Sandra Ann Moye, Sharon Ann Spence, and William “Billy” Spence.  And most of all the most amazing “NANA” (pronounced NAH NAH) to D.J., Riley, Annelyse, Greyson, Atlas, and Noah.  Not to mention the countless amount of people “MOMMA D” had an endless amount of love for.  She always had a way to make you feel better no matter what, and then there’s that smile that could turn any frown upside down.  She will be missed dearly but her legacy will carry on in so many ways.  We love you, Nana!!!

  She was a member of Orchard Lake Chapel in Saluda, North Carolina and was a rock for her family and home.

  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary, 257 North Main Street, Woodruff by Rev. Pierre Salmon, Mr. John Dill and Mr. Michael Dill.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pioneer Missions of Florida, 10123 Carey Drive, Orlando, Florida, 32832.
