Taeko Parris
SPARTANBURG- Taeko Furuyama Parris, 92, of 30 Pinto Court passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Regional Hospice Home.
She was born May 23, 1931, in Yokohama, Japan to the late Saichi and Hisako Yoshida Furuyama and was the widow of U.S. Army Major Robert P. Parris. Mrs. Parris was a retired employee with Enro Shirt Company formerly in Woodruff.
Surviving is one son, Mike (Jill) Parris of Spartanburg; one sister, Mitsuyo Asai of Japan; two grandchildren, Zack (Brittany) Parris and Jacob (Patti) Parris; one great-granddaughter, Sage Parris. She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Japan. She was predeceased by one sister and two brothers.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Green Pond Memorial Cemetery by Rev. Steve Holler.
