Thomas C. Bolton

WOODRUFF- Thomas Clifford Bolton,86, of 1013 Waddell Road passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Fountain Inn Post Acute.

  He was born May 1, 1938, in Spartanburg County to the late Ben Simpson Bolton and Evie Jane Walker Bolton.  Thomas was a 1956 graduate of Woodruff High School, then North Greenville College, and Furman University.  He was the owner of Bolton Lumber Company and retired from Milliken and Company.  He was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.

  Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Patricia Carpenter Bolton of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Klimas (Victor) of Greenville and Jill Hayes of Honea Path; two grandsons, Joshua Bolton (Ashley) of Woodruff and Kevin Hayes (Jennifer) of Woodruff; six great-grandchildren, Rachel Hayes, Sarah Hayes, Charlotte Hayes, Caroline Hayes, Sawyer Bolton and Chanlin Bolton.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Doris Bolton and John Bolton.

  A private family burial will be held at the Darby Cemetery at Green Pond Baptist Church.

  The family wishes to thank the compassionate and caring staff of both Fountain Inn Post Acute and Pruitt Hospice.

  The family is at their respective homes.
