WOODRUFF- Thomas Edward Smith, 86, of 878 Pincrest Street passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

He was born November 14, 1934 to the late Mack and Ida Mell Vinson Smith Campbell. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired equipment operator with Laurens County Roads and Bridges.

Surviving are his wife, Ann Scott Smith of the home; four sons, Curtis Smith of Woodruff, Scott Smith of Woodruff, Jeff (Ginger) Smith of Roebuck and Jason (Tori) Smith of Woodruff; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Jerry Dale Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. James Leopard. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic it is requested by the family that masks be worn and social distancing be practiced during the visitation and funeral service.
