Tom Waldrup
WOODRUFF- Thomas Hall “Tom” Waldrup, 74, of 1509 Shaw Road passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at Regional Hospice Home.
A native of Anderson, he was the son of the late Elbert Lamar and Ruth Cox Waldrup and the widower of Annette Knight Lanford. He was a retired truck driver with C&C Trucking, a Commander of the American Legion Post 33 and was a U.S. Army Veteran in Vietnam.
Surviving are four daughters, Wanda Brown and Sandy Peeler both of Woodruff, Robin Prince of Ware Shoals and Debbie Craine of Greenwood; one son, Ricky Smith of Enoree; five sisters, Nancy Lou Arnold of Piedmont, Clairce Griffin of Elizabethtown, Ky., Carolyn Kelley of Townville, Edna Bratcher of Honea Path and Diane Waldrup of Anderson; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survivedby his faithful companion, BooBoo. He was predeceased by three sisters, Martha Hanks, Gloria Walls and Elaine Gilbert and two brothers, Elbert Waldrup and Harold Waldrup and also by a grandson, Jake Peeler.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date at the M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery, Anderson, S.C.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Tom Waldrup Memorial Fund, C/O Wanda Brown, 952 Miller Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.
