Tracy Leigh Abercrombie
Tracy Leigh Abercrombie ,54, of 227 Chatelain Drive, Spartanburg passed away Monday, August 4, 2025.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Emma Gray Methodist Church, 321 West Georgia Street, Woodruff, S.C. by Mr. Steve Jennings. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Tracy was born March 31, 1971, in Spartanburg County to Jonathan Clyde Abercrombie of Hendersonville, North Carolina and Vickie Werner Abercrombie (David) McCartney of Zirconia, North Carolina.
From an early age Tracy’s heart was drawn to music and dance, joys that remained central in her life and spirit. Tracy had a special way of connecting and caring for elderly people which became her job over the last few weeks of her life, bringing warmth and compassion to their final days.
Tracy graduated from Central Piedmont College in Charlotte, N.C. in 1998 with a degree in laboratory technology. Tracy was an employee with A Better Solution Home Care in Greenville, caring for their homebound hospice patients. She was formerly employed with the Presbyterian Hospital System in Charlotte, N.C. as a laboratory technician.
Surviving is one son, Johathan Chase Abercrombie of Spartanburg, S.C.; sister, Leslie Long (Dale) of Middleburg, Florida; nephews, Jackson Long and Ethan Long; aunts, Brenda Armstrong of Laurens and Edith Abercrombie of Gray Court; uncle, Joey Werner (Debbie) of Williamston; numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Clyde “Ham” Werner and Dot Smith Werner and her paternal grandparents, Hoyt Abercrombie and Ruth Whittaker Abercrombie.
