Trudy Lorraine Thornton, 57, loving wife of Michael James Thornton, of 239 Police Club Road, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, December 8, 2023, at her home. 

Born May 6, 1966, in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Thomas West and Nancy Floyd West. She was a 1984 graduate of Dorman High School, retired from Copac and attended Woodruff Church of God. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. 

Surviving in addition to her husband are her sons, Michael James Thornton II of the home, Reverend Thomas Thornton and wife Shanna of Lindale, Texas; sisters, Teresa Kemp and husband Dennis of Boiling Springs, Kim Greer and husband Mark of Moore; a bonus sister, Tonya Corbin; grandchildren, Jay Thornton, Kelsey Thornton, Easton Thornton, Bentley Thornton, Willow Thornton and Serenity Thornton. 

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2023, at Woodruff Church of God with Rev. Jonathan Knight and Rev. Thomas Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens. 

Family members are at the home.
