Violet N. Filipi
LAURENS- Sadly our Mother Violet Naomi Filipi, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 28, 2023, at the age of 93.
She was born September 18, 1929, in Wytheville, Virginia during the depression to the late William Crumbley Akers and Ida Mae Dunford Akers. Mom had a 5th grade education and touched many hearts around the world as she traveled abroad and in the United States. Her carefree personality (never met a stranger) will be sorely missed. Her values, faith, and drive to touch everyone’s heart about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was second to none. We know she is with our Lord and Savior and that is what matters. We will miss you Momma!
Surviving are her children, Jackie Delby, Lee Fortenberry, Linda King, Sheila Kenny, George Arnold, and Ike Miller; 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 31, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Full Gospel Assembly,1970 Charlottes Rd Clinton S.C. 29325 by Rev. Donnie Holland. Interment will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, S.C.
