Virgil Vinson

WOODRUFF- James Virgil Vinson,76, of 1405 Edwards Road went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 15, 2025, at his home.

  He was born July 30, 1948, in Spartanburg County to the late James Edward Vinson and Slean Richards Vinson.  He was a retired construction worker and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. 

  Surviving is his wife, Connie Owings Vinson of the home; two daughters, Rhonda (Harley) Beck of Fountain Inn and Jackie Garrett of Woodruff; one son, Scotty (Elizabeth) Vinson of Moncks Corner; one brother, Robert (Armenda) Vinson; 5 grandchildren, Benjamin Beck, Haley (Cameron) Queen, Taylor Garrett, Samantha Garrett and Adam Vinson.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Ronnie Vinson and David Vinson.

  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Robert King.  Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.

  The family is at the residence.
