Wade “Dink” O’Shields

WOODRUFF- Wade Eugene “Dink” O’Shields, 73, of 517 Harris Bridge Road went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Pelham Medical Center.

  He was born October 31, 1949, in Spartanburg County to the late Wade and Polly Ravan O’Shields and was the widower of Shirley Ann Howard O’Shields who passed away July 3, 2015.  He was a retired machinist with Jeffrey Dresser formerly in Woodruff.

  Surviving is one son; Kevin O’Shields of Woodruff; three daughters, Alisa Laster (Richie) of Woodruff, Jodi Shepard of Woodruff and Tracy White (Michael) of Woodruff; three sisters, Judy Jordan (Jessie) of Woodruff, Vickie Robinson of Woodruff and Christine O’Shields of Woodruff; two brothers, Douglas O’Shields (JoAnn) of Woodruff and Robert O’Shields of Woodruff; two step-brothers, Terry Owens (Jane) of Enoree and David Owens (Patricia) of Enoree; 9 grandchildren, Allen Shepard, Robert Laster (Emily), Justin Shepard (Ashley), Megan Cashion, Skylar O’Shields, T Laster, Destiny Laster, Jayce Shepard and Lakyia Shepard; 3 great-grandchildren and two grandchildren of the heart, Meagan West (Lex) and Tara Goodwin.

  Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Steve Christopher.  Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023, at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of SC Piedmont Branch, 11 Brendan Way, #B2, Greenville, S.C. 29615.

  The family is at the home of Michael and Tracy White, 338 Country Estates Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.
