Walter O’Neil “Cookie” Morgan

WOODRUFF- Walter O’Neil “Cookie” Morgan, 80, of 518 Westmoreland Road went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 11, 2023, at his home.

He was born October 15, 1943, in Spartanburg County to the late Perry and Velvie Price Morgan. He attended Bellview Baptist Church and was a retired supervisor with Jefferey Manufacturing formerly in Woodruff. Cookie also served in the U.S. Army National Guard.

Surviving is his wife Ola Mae Leonhardt Morgan of the home; four daughters, Teresa Smith (Jeff) of Woodruff, Christie Barnett (Keith) of Woodruff, Angela Smith (Jody) of Woodruff and Donna Holt (Chris) of Cowpens; one sister, Juanita Sloan (Donnie) of Woodruff; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Claude Morgan and Dickie Morgan.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Bellview Baptist Church by Rev. Carey Caldwell and Rev. Deryk Morgan. Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Ministry C/O Bellview Baptist Church, 901 Bellview Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.
