Wanda W. Richards
WOODRUFF- Wanda Waddle Richards, 67, of 101 Poplar Street went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Spartanburg Medical Center.
She was born December 20, 1956, in Spartanburg County to the late H.W. “Tiny” Waddle and Barbara Harrison Waddle. She was a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church in Woodruff and was a 1975 graduate of Woodruff High School. Wanda always wanted to be a nurse and pursued her career as an LPN for 41 years and retired from Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. She was an avid Gamecock Fan.
Surviving is her husband, Jeff Richards of the home; one sister, Jennifer (the late Mike) Simmons of Woodruff; brother-in-law, Charles Richards of Woodruff, aunt, Sarah Taylor of Woodruff; 2 nephews, 1 niece, 1 great-nephew and 4 great-nieces.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Mr. Steve Lanford.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
A Cremation will follow the service.
The family would like to give special thanks to Interim Healthcare and South Carolina House Calls for their care, love and concern.
The family is at the home of her sister, Jennifer Simmons, 151 Wildlife Trail, Woodruff.
