Willie Ray Weathers, 82, husband of Carolyn Owens Weathers, of 1039 Cooper Bridge Road, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, January 1, 2024 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. 

Born November 2, 1941 in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Henry T. Weathers and Etta Mae Owens Weathers. He was retired from W.R. Grace-Cryovac, member of the Crescent Masonic Lodge # 245 and Selma Baptist Church. 

Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons; Scott Weathers (Marianna) of Woodruff, Brian Weathers (Angela) of Cherryville, NC.; sisters, Louise Giles of Rock Hill, Sharon Porter of Enoree; brothers, J.B. Weathers of Ellijay, GA., Donald Weathers of Greer, Bobby Weathers of Tigerville; grandchildren, Austin Weathers (Kaitlyn), Caleb Weathers (Katelyn), Taylor Harrison (Wade), Tyler Weathers (Jennifer), Shelby Weathers; two step-grandchildren, Jessica and Colby; great-grandchildren, Scottlyn, Gavin and Harper. He was predeceased by three sisters, Ruby Hughes, Mary Crawford and Kathy Coleman; two brothers, Henry Eugene Weathers and Maxie Weathers.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary with Reverend Bob Finley officiating with Masonic Rites rendered by Crescent Masonic Lodge #245. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Selma Baptist Church, Building Fund, 850 Lawson Rd, Woodruff, SC 29388.
